The Dance Experience of Delmar

The Dance Experience is perfect for every dancer from beginning to advanced. We focus on growth of the individual dancer through smaller class sizes and a team approach with strength based teaching methodologies.

Last but most certainly not least for Teacher Feature Tuesday is Ms. Janell Timmany. Ms. Janell started The Dance Experience 30 years ago and has been dancing for 40 years. Her favorite styles are ballet and lyrical. When Ms. Janell is not at the studio she works as a School Psychologist, she loves watching her son perform and spending time with her family and pets, Paddy, Mistletoe and Koda. Her favorite part about TDE is the relationships built among dancers and families and watching the dancers confidence grow. Did you know that TDE is one of the only local studios whose competition team offers an optional nationals every other year! Ms. Lauren Sheffer attended Siena College where she received her B.S. in Biology. She continued her education at Albany College of Pharmacy Health Science(ACPHS) receiving a masters in Cytology
and is now working as a Cytologist at St. Peter’s Hospital. Her favorite style of dance is lyrical and she loves the amazing dancers and wonderful families that make up the TDE community. This summer Ms. Lauren had a great week on her favorite beach in LBI, and also enjoyed keeping cool by the pool during the hot

Tuesday Teacher Feature time!! Ms. Alyssa Good has been a part of TDE since its inagural season in 1995! She danced at TDE through both middle and high school before continuing her education at Boston University. At BU, she recieved her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and was a member of the BU dance team, perfoming at basketball games and competeting at NDA nationals! Ms. Alyssa is currently working as an Associate Strategy Director at FutureBrand. Her favorite style is jazz and she loves seeing dancer’s progress year after year, watching their confidence grow from the first time learning something to thier performances at the end of the season. Its time for our next Tuesday Teacher Feature! Ms. Allison Grant attended Clarkson University for her undergrad to receive her Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. She is currently inspecting bridges throughout western New York and is happy to be
back in the Albany area full time. Her favorite style has always been tap. She enjoys teaching at TDE because she gets to see all the friendships that are formed through dance and seeing the kids grow throughout the year! Allison has been a member of the TDE family
