It's roots started in the 1970's in South Bronx. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music.
Hip-Hop dance is very dynamic and improvisational in nature, with jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements.
Ballroom Dancing
Ballroom dance is also known as social dance because it encourages social interaction between dance partners. While it is a beautiful form of art, it has also at times been an integral part of people’s daily lives for hundreds of years, providing an atmosphere for men and women to gather together, develop friendships and have a good time.
Ballet Dancing
All of our ballet classes stress correct placement (body alignment), and correct classical ballet technique. Class level is determined by the instructor, and is based on an individual assessment when the student takes a trial class. All students receive corrections during class to help them advance.
Jazz Dance
Jazz has become one of the most popular dance styles in recent years, mainly due to its popularity on television shows, movies, music videos and commercials. People enjoy watching jazz dancers, as the dancing is fun and energetic.
Music Explorers
Musical adventures await your young child as we explore the world of music and develop basic skills during this pivotal point in music education. Using various activities, students will learn musical concepts including beat, rhythm, tone, and basic note reading skills, along with an appreciation for different genres and history of music.
Childrens Programs
We have realistic and age-appropriate expectations for children. Our classes begin with a consistent structure. From there we add a developmental theme, physical focal elements (designed to strengthen coordination, build body awareness and flexibility).
