End of Year Performance
The list of who is in which performance is attached. Please note that the order of the list is not the order of performance. Classes that are bolded are in multiple performances to allow for families with dancers in multiple classes to have 1 show with all of their families dances in. We attempted to honor request for “major life event” conflicts of the dancers, but we have several classes with different conflicts within the class.
ONE volunteer is needed from each children’s class (Preschool-Grade 5) to assist in the dressing room and sit with the dancers when they are not performing. These volunteers will be able to go into the audience in a designated area during their children(s) dances, as dancers will be cared for by TDE staff when they are backstage. Volunteers are expected to stay with the designated class in the audience and/or backstage throughout the entire show, unless arrangements are made with ALL parents in the class ahead of time. Please tell your child’s teacher if you are willing to help out. You will receive confirmation, a list of responsibilities, and code to obtain your complimentary ticket if you are the designated volunteer. At times we have several parents from a class offer to volunteer, while at other times we have none. ONLY the specified volunteers will be allowed in the dressing rooms and backstage.
Studio pictures will be taken on Thursday, May 30th in the lobby of The Hart Theater at The Egg. Most classes will have their group photo taken prior to their rehearsal on stage. The rehearsal schedule will be distributed in about a week. Individual pictures can also be taken at that time. We have a tight schedule and will not be able to wait for individuals to arrive for rehearsal or the group picture, so please plan accordingly. We encourage all dancers to attend, even if you are not purchasing pictures, since the studio receives copies of the group pictures for display. Attached is the list of portrait packages will be available. The packages are of the individual dancer and include a group photograph. The teachers will determine which shoes the dancers will wear for the group picture. Parents will not be allowed behind the photographer, as this is a distraction and the photographer needs the full attention of the children.
Dress rehearsal will be held on Thursday May 30th 4:45-10 PM. We schedule specific times for each class on stage so that you do not have to sit through 5 hours of rehearsal. The rehearsal and photo schedule will be sent in a few weeks. Due to the limited time that we have, we schedule younger kids earlier in the evening and older kids/teens/adults later in the evening.
The office will be open 5/23-5/29 – evenings 4:30-8:30 Monday-Thursday, Fridays 5:30-6:20 and Saturday 9-12. The office will not be staffed May 30-June 1, as all staff will be assisting at the rehearsal and performances.
It’s that time of year! With only about 3-4 classes until the EOY Performances, it is very important that the dancers attend class and dress appropriately, this includes proper shoes. Please remember that proper dance attire does not include shorts, unless they are dance shorts. Hair must be pulled back for all classes, including hip hop.
The Summer 2019 schedule was sent last week and is posted on the website for registration to begin later this week!
We are beginning to plan for next dance season. Please email or call Ms. Janell with requests for certain days/times after the June performances. We are always looking for great dance teachers, so please let me know if you know of great dance teachers interested in teaching at TDE!
Ticket Ordering Information
Tickets go on sale through TutuTix on Friday, May 10th at 9 AM and can be purchased through Monday Monday May 27th at midnight. Tickets can be purchased for $18 each for all audience members ages 5 and up on line at

Please make sure you are purchasing the correct number of tickets and for the correct performance as tickets cannot be returned.
Tickets can be purchased at the dress rehearsal and performances in the lobby of the Hart Theater from TDE staff, if there are still seats available. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the studio.
Contact TDE office (during office hours – please see above) for codes to use for complementary tickets if you are a parent volunteer or have children in multiple shows. The complimentary tickets will be for a specific section in the audience.
Costume Notes and Tight Requirements
Individual classes will be emailed costume notes from the teachers along with the required colored tights. This information will be passed along once it is received from the teachers. Tights can be purchased at TDE during office hours. 5/6-7 and 5/23-29 Monday-Thursday 4:30-8:30, Friday 5:30-6:20, and Saturdays 9-12.
